ok. this format is puzzling me. in Season8 we had fansubs with standard kanji credits in the OP and EP and fansub on-screen kanji translations as well as fansub 'credits' for translator, encoder, QC, timing etc. inserted here and there on-screen.

now in S9 the OP is ENTIRELY clean with no original credits or fansub inserts. the DPI on Vidstreaming server for this episode goes up to 480p when that setting was spotty at best in S8. also, the subs are clear, concise, incredibly well timed, and the grammar is nigh on perfect. in the EP it is NOT clean but the credits are all in English with NO kanji and they're superb! they're crisp and clean! so definitely not an amateur/fan job!

also, there's no 'next conan's hint' once more. i know the show-runners have cut that out of previous seasons, but they brought it back in full force for S8. i think it was NOT cut-out because this is a 2 part case. in previous seasons the show-runners have used the 'hint' more than once with 2 parters.

so. who edited this episode? who subbed it? who worked such fancy magic on the EP? i know it's not Funimation's work. they ENTIRELY stopped doing ANYTHING with Conan after ep130. they've even allowed their license to lapse years ago.

strangely enough? i checked Crunchyroll and the ONLY early Conans they have are 1-123 (probably on a new license after Funi let theirs lapse). somehow they haven't gotten their hands on 124-130. but Crunchy didn't START their OWN streaming and subs for Conan till episode 754 to the present day. Crunchy still holds the only license i know of for legal subs and streaming/release of Conan episodes in North America at this time.
